Friday the 13th is the unluckiest day of the year, according to the Georgian calendar. The story began in Norse mythology, when twelve gods were dining in Valhalla. The trickster god Loki, who had not been invited, arrived as the 13th guest at the banquet. He forced Hör to use a mistletoe-tipped arrow to kill Balder. Balder's death caused the entire Earth to turn dark. Since then, the day has been regarded as unlucky.
