Hey there dabblers,

(Affiliate links are included in this email which means I make money if you click through, sign up, or purchase through these links.)

I've oddly been able to get A LOT done this week like:

Enough of my random ramblings of updates and things to come. Let's get to the weekly goodies, shall we..

Featured favorite content from the #PersonalFinance community:

A Case for Grieving the Mundane Losses of a Pandemic: My friend Elyssa's new post is a real breath of fresh air during these crazy times. 10/10 I recommend to read this ASAP (and they way she writes makes it so it is actually enjoyable to read).

Recent news and other items that help you:

Alright, looks like this 2nd stimulus check might actually become a thing. However, STILL nothing has been passed yet.

There are 4 different proposals and I think this Forbes article does the best at going into those.

(Sorry peeps, I would sit here and dissect them for you but with the way this news cycle is with the stimulus check proposals and what is happening/not happening/ rejected/ new proposals/ etc, chances are by the time you'll receive my email there might be something changed again. I rather wait to dissect when they have something officially passed.)

One more thing(keeping this in here from last week's newsletter):

A lot of poll workers are over the age of 60 and because of coronavirus, won't be able to show up to work the polls. Because of this, we have an unprecedented shortage of poll workers this year. You can help make sure we have a safe, fair, efficient election for all voters by helping your state out a bit. If you didn't know, being a poll worker is a paid gig so you can either sign up here to work the polls or sign up to help recruit for poll workers.

Are you registered to vote? If not, I recommend you do so following the instructions here. This year is a big year for voting (as are most years but this one is ULTRA special if you...catch my drift). You can check the voter registration deadlines for your specific state here.

After registering to vote, consider adopting a swing state too. You can learn more about that and do so here.

Tools + Resources to help you:

Mixed Up Money just released a new course to help you get on the same page with your partner about money. I know how stressful money convos can be and this is the only resource I've seen to help couples with money that doesn't make me cringe - it also it jam packed full of resources to step you through a legit plan and get on track towards your goals *together*.

I recently released my new course Launch Your Side Hustle that is the complete beginners guide to starting a side small business that is right for you, profitable, and steps you through making your first $1k and beyond! We also have an ACTUAL lawyer and ACTUAL accountant who guest spoke in the course to help us cut through the confusion of legally covering a side hustle and figuring out taxes. I've never seen a course like this before, it is under $100, and if you can't afford it - email me and we can work something out.

The GYST (Get Your $hit Together) Printable Bundle: Get this 30 page printable bundle including budget sheets, debt trackers, savings tracker coloring pages, emergency fund tracker, bullet journal pages, goal setting prompts and sheets, meal plans, cheat sheets, emergency info sheets, maintenance checklists for your house and car, and every printable you can think of to basically get your $hit together.

Some of my favorite apps that have helped us immensely lately:

Cleo: A sassy app that tells me to stop spending my money like a fool (lol, she helps me stay on budget when I listen to her).

Rakuten: A browser extension I use when shopping online. Whether it is for my online hosting or purchasing groceries online, they extension pops up letting me know how much I'll get cash back for my purchase.

Personal Capital: Are you tracking your net worth and savings? Well you should be and this is the tool I use to look at all of our accounts in one view so we have a clearer idea of where we are with our goals.
