Be a part of a landmark cinematic project:
a definitive documentary on the life and legacy of the great Cardinal Henri de Lubac.
Throughout the 20th century, few figures shaped the landscape of Catholic thought as profoundly as Father de Lubac. From his heroic efforts in the French Resistance during World War II—risking his life to oppose Nazi ideology—to the renewal of Catholic theology and his pivotal role as a peritus at the Second Vatican Council, De Lubac’s life was a testament to the courage of the Gospel. Many of his writings have become spiritual classics!

In the complex years following the Council, when many Catholics struggled with conflicting interpretations of its decrees, Father de Lubac was a steadying hand. He worked tirelessly to present faithful Catholic teaching, ensuring that the true spirit of Vatican II was understood as rooted in Scripture and the Church’s living tradition.

His impact is perhaps best seen in his close relationships with two of the greatest popes of our age: St. John Paul II and Benedict XVI. These men did more than admire his work; they considered him a mentor and a friend. St John Paul II eventually elevated De Lubac to the College of Cardinals in recognition of his service to the Truth and the Lord’s Church. Pope Benedict wrote of his friend, “Cardinal de Lubac remains a true master for our time. He understood the dramas of the human heart and the challenges of the modern world, yet he always pointed us back to the radiant face of Christ."

Because of this lifelong witness to holiness and truth, his cause for beatification and eventual canonization has officially been opened.
