Rayban got its start in 1936, when an Army test pilot damaged his eyes flying, and asked Bausch & Lomb to create sunglasses that would provide protection and look sophisticated. The company hit the nail on the head with the launch of Aviators in 1937. Since then, Raybans have been a staple of the sunglasses world, immortalized in movies, worn by celebrities, and an instant cool-factor for any outfit.
