THE EXTINCTION REBELLION FASHION ACTION, FASHION CIRCUS: CIRCUS OF EXCESS

by fashionbeyondfashion

Fashion Circus: Circus of Excess, event under the sign of sustainable fashion and body-protest design (questioning of important topics like the climate change), will feature on Friday 12th April from 6:30 to 7:30 pm in London at Oxford Circus, the epicenter of the fast-fashion shopping “experience”. A successful initiative developed by XRF(Extinction Rebellion Fashion), a group of Extinction Rebellion , a British group - under the sign of the social activism and environmentalism arisen from the social media -, made of rebels working in creative industries, raising awareness to the issues of un-sustainability in fashion. It teamed up with students from art, fashion colleges and universities all over London to showcase their sustainable fashion and body-protest designs. The theme “Fashion: Circus of Excess” addresses issues of un-sustainability in fashion and how its practices impact other species. The models will parade along with the XR choir and XR musicians. This will include opera singers and an amplified string quartet performing Beethoven’s “Ode an Die Freude” (Ode to Joy) from his Symphony number 9, the drums ensemble “EarthNicht”, the blues band Gabriel Byrd and the Ambitious Bastards. Surrounding the performers in a circle will be XR cyclists, there to provide both protection and lighting. To amplify the call for immediate action on climate change, the event will be broadcasted live via mainstrea and social media using the hashtag #xrfashioncircus. A not to be missed event for rebels, activists and free thinkers.

L’ AZIONE DI EXTINCTION REBELLION FASHION, FASHION CIRCUS: CIRCUS OF EXCESS
