L.A. County's tracing team failed to detect coronavirus outbreaks at workplaces

Los Angeles County's coronavirus contact-tracing system has repeatedly failed to find workplace outbreaks before they spread, placing employees, their families and others at risk. The effort has been been throttled by slow turnaround times for test results, language barriers and a lack of cooperation by patients and employers, a Times review found.
