Welcome to Librio's October newsletter

What's in store:

- New logo: We have a new logo 🙂

- New book: We have a fantabulous new book coming soon 🎶

- New pumpkin: This is a trick one. There isn't actually a new pumpkin, but everyone's posting about pumpkins these days and we didn't want to miss out 🎃

- In Librio Library, a beautiful book about how the Nightingale got her song 🐦

- Brands we love - Meet our friends at Tidy Books 📚

Say hello to the new Librio logo

When we set up Librio in 2017, designing the logo was one of the first things we ever got done. We wrote a hilarious blog post about it at the time.

Four years later, we know a little bit more about what we need from our logo and so we gave it a little polish. The smiley face has gone for a little walk and we feel it looks more friendly and approachable. But still a bit cheeky ;)

We hope you like it as much as we do, we'd love to hear your feedback.

A fantabulous new book coming soon!

With Present Buying Season soon upon us, we wanted to remind you to stick a little note in your brain to check your inbox for Librio news, because we have a fantabulous new book on the way.

It's a celebration of music, imagination and creativity by the same illustrator who brought you A Tale of Two and The Tree, The Key & Me and we can't wait to share it with you.

If there were a new pumpkin, it'd be here, but unfortunately, there is no new pumpkin, sorry.

Librio Library #28 – Nightingale – Tanya Landman & Laura Carlin

Every month, we introduce one of our favourite books from Librio's own library, which we use as inspiration for creating our own books.

As the nights draw in and the weather begins to turn a bit more grey and dull, what better time to introduce a book where all the colours of the rainbow are involved and brighten up everybody's day?

In this beautiful storybook by Tanya Landman, illustrated by Laura Carlin, you'll learn all about how the animals (and bugs!) became the unique, beautiful creatures they are today. Not only that, you'll also learn the secret behind just exactly how the nightingale got its glorious voice.

Take me to the book

Brands we love - Tidy Books

Tidy Books was founded in 2004 by Geraldine Grandidier as she searched - in vain - for a new bookshelf that would be easy for her little girl to use by herself. Geraldine is a trained violin-maker and designed her original Tidy Books bookshelf to encourage kids to love reading. Tidy Books is now a multi-award-winning company that produces storage solutions and bookcases for children to foster their love of reading and sense of independence. All products are made with sustainable lime wood and are finished with a special no-fumes water lacquer.

We love Tidy Books because….
…they produce sustainable and environmentally friendly products
...they are made by hand and designed with love
...they support children’s reading charity with every purchase
…the team behind it is super lovely!
