Recommendations from Ian Finch and Rupert Jones-Warner

Even at the best of times, a good book is something we treasure at Linde Werdelin. Getting yourself into a daily routine of reading - be it fiction or factual - can open up your mind, relax you or even help you solve problems in unconventional ways.

During this time of self isolation, now in its third or fourth week for many of us around the world, a book can be what makes the difference between a bad or a good day. We have asked a couple of our explorers what books they enjoy and recommend to others:

Ian Finch
Adventure photographer
Outdoor guide
Kings of the Ukon
Adam Weymouth
Adam Weymouths' voyage of 2000 miles through Canada and Alaska, to the Bering Sea searching for the treasured King Salmon.

The Walkers Guide to Outdoor Clues & Signs
Tristan Gooley
The ultimate guide to what the land, sun, moon, stars, trees, plants, animals, sky and clouds can reveal - when you know what to look for.

Caught by the River
Roger Deakin & Contributors
From canoe adventures to ice-skating, from angling to day-dreaming, these writers take you on journeys down some of the most famous waterways.

The North American Indian
Edward S. Curtis
A stunning record of vanishing Native American tribes at the turn of the 20th century, captured by photographer Curtis.

Rupert Jones - Warner
LW Explorer
Youngest person to summit Annapurna
Henry Hemming

Alastair Cambell
How do sports stars excel, entrepreneurs thrive, or individuals achieve their ambition? Is their ability to win innate? Or is the winning mindset something we can all develop? As Tony Blair's chief spokesman and strategist, Cambell helped guide the Labour Party to victory in three successive general elections, and he's fascinated by what it takes to win.

Let My People Go Surfing

From his youth as the son of a French Canadian handyman to the thrilling, ambitious climbing expeditions that inspired his innovative designs for the sport's equipment.

The Spy and the Traitor
