Hi everyone,

Apologies for the lack of updates, it's been a strange couple of weeks that's for sure. I really hope everyone is keeping well and taking care. I would also like to thank you all for your continued support, it really means a lot to us. At the moment we are still continuing to dispatch goods and are able to because as a family, we live and work on the same property, so are able to continue to run Myakka and Ian Snow's ourselves.

The situation around the whole world is unimaginable right now, it is undoubtedly a challenging and frightening time but we must try and focus some positive, I feel the last few weeks have really seen human kind pull together.

11 days ago saw India get placed suddenly on a strict lock down, much like here in the UK but with terrifying immediate consequences. Daily wage and migrant workers all of a sudden had no income and day to day live on a hand to mouth basis, their income was took away over night and thousands of thousands of people were left very scared with no money for food. We knew we needed to take urgent action to try and help as many people as possible.

Watching the situation unravel quite rapidly we set up a campaign through our Ian Snow social media sites, started working with suppliers in Jaipur and got community kitchens set up, our aim was to feed as many people as possible.

The campaign was not to do with helping anyone who works to make our products as their wages are all still being paid as normal. The people who were suddenly at risk of starvation were the 'self-employed', casual sector of workers.

A lot has happened in the last 11 days, but so far, we have raised enough funds to provide 113,000 meals and have now got 3 kitchens set up in Jaipur, India, providing cooked meals or food ingredient bags.

If you would like to see all of our updates from the last week please visit our Ian Snow facebook page

You can also see a video below which I've posted on youtube.

So, it has indeed been a roller coaster few days, and I'm sure many of you will also feel the same, but collectively, you, as part of the Ian Snow and Myakka family have made a difference this week. Thank you for supporting us!

Please take care and stay safe,

Daisy X
