On the 6th November, 138 solo sailors will set sail from Saint-Malo to Pointe-à-Pitre for the iconic Route du Rhum race. We're proud that race favorites Charles Caudrelier, the Gitana Team skipper onboard the Ultim Maxi Edmond de Rothschild, and Kevin Escoffier, skipper of the IMOCA Holcim-PRB, have chosen to wear North Sails Performance in this epic Atlantic crossing. Both sailors will carry the full breadth of Performance clothing as they travel fast from the cold, breezy Northern Hemisphere across a sometimes windless but always hot equator and stay in hot airs all the way to the finish line.

The mid-layer traps air that can be warmed to body temperature, reducing cold air chill. There is no outer fabric on our mid-layers. A shell significantly restricts breathability which creates condensation next to the outer layer.
