Our earth day Diaries
Last week sucked. This is a new one, and we’re here to tell you it’s going to be better. How do we know? Well, for one, it’s kicking off with Earth Day. And, for two, we’re celebrating by watching this gem. So far, the (immediate) future is looking good. —claire
+ Getting pumped for the food-plus-fashion mag Cherry Bombe—I mean, Karlie Kloss and cookie dough are on the first cover.
+ Watching Jerry Stackhouse sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the Brooklyn Nets vs. Chicago Bulls playoff game again and again...and again.
+ Exploring the crap out of Rank and Style, which is like Consumer Reports for fashion and beauty.
+ Itching to dive into an anthology of classic celeb profiles—from that era before they all took place over a light lunch at Chateau Marmont.
+ Performing the enormously satisfying act of vacuuming all of my winter coats and sweaters into tiny little bundles—and freeing up inches of precious closet space in the process.
+ Sampling pretty much every bubble tea joint in NYC and concluding that Teado is tops. Pro tip: “30% sugar” is universal code for “don’t make it so unbearably sweet.”
+ Dyyyying to read this researched account of Sylvia Plath’s infamous summer in New York that inspired The Bell Jar.
+ Fending off the seemingly omnipresent spring cold thanks to Zicam. If you ever do something so questionable as to take medical advice from me, let it be this. It works.
+ Realizing that I am that person who forwards YouTube videos of funny babies to her friends. (And, now, her company’s entire mailing list.)
