Dear Friends,
The other day someone was describing a hair product to us. They said ‘it’s just very gentle, I don’t know why it is, but things made by women tend to have a lighter touch than things made by men.’ We had to agree.
When you think about tampons (invented by a man), the whole intention of the product is to rather harshly put a plug in the period and to stop it. It approaches the flow of the period as a problem, like a broken fire hydrant. Solution - a cotton plug. There. Flood dammed. Job done.
But what happens when we don’t see our period as a problem? What if we start to think of our period as something soft, and tender and creative that actually should just do what it wants to do - flow? And what if we go even further and see our period as connected to the divine feminine and actually, a monthly sacred act? What kind of product can we make then?
We know!!!
We just made it!!
Rose for love, rose for gentleness, rose for tenderness, rose for softness, rose for blood, rose for the knowing that one day we’ll see our periods as a part of nature that is as beautiful as a rose.
X Period.
