In our humble opinion, the Fourth of July is the most wonderful day of the year.
But if you have a furry friend, this day becomes stressful for you and your pup. Many dogs run away, frightened by loud noises, flashes of fireworks, and crowds of people. According to various reports, 30% of all lost pet incidents in the US occur on the 4th of July.

And you have to be prepared for unexpected situations!
1. Teach your pup to stay close to you. Using an e-collar can help you to make this process easier. Ask your family members to help and start your usual training. Give your pup a command and ask to stay close. Don’t forget to treat your buddy. After few right actions, please ask your friends to join and make loud sounds. Start from the one irritant and add the others if you see that your pup still does a good job.

This will help your dog to feel much confidence in the noisy street.
2. Choose a durable collar and comfortable leash. The best option is the bungee leash or running leash. If you're hands-free, you have much more space for maneuver, and it will be easier for you to react to unforeseen situations.
Plus, it is much more difficult to escape when the dog is "fastened" to the owner.
3. Use the reflective collar. It will help you easily find your dog in the crowd. Also, the tone function on the e-collar is a great option that will help you find your pup.
If you plan to stay at home - create a safe and quiet place for your fluffy friend and close the doors. Easy, right?
4. And the last, but the most important - your dog should always have an address tag. It will help passers-by bring your baby to you.
Now you are ready to celebrate!
