Thanks to the selections in this month’s Eater Wine Club boxes, we’ll all be taking a (metaphorical) trip abroad.
The wine pro for the month is Twin Cities-based sommelier Scarlett Carrasco Polanco. Scarlett was inspired by her family’s travels between their homeland in the Dominican Republic and their new home in the States to focus on "grape migrations," aka wines rooted in the same family of grapes but made many miles apart — say, an albariño from its native Spain compared to an albariño made, unexpectedly, in South Africa.
This’ll no doubt be the most fun you’ve had doing a comparative study. Sign up for Eater Wine Club for an international adventure….
