Vet Cardiologist Recommendation On Dog Food

Hi My Roxie had her ultrasound of her heart yesterday since our vet cardiologist strongly recommended to screen her heart since she's directly related to her brother Chester whom we lost eight weeks ago. Although no serious symptoms now, she has been put on heart medications as early intervention as the test do show a bit of decreased heart contractility. In addition, the entire cardiology team has made a pretty strong recommendation regarding dog food for ALL breeds now. I've detailed this in my latest dog blog post and would advise that every dog owner discuss this with their vet. Keep in mind that this recommendation is coming out from the canine cardiology specialist field so our general vets might not be fully aware of this issue yet. But I'm sure they can research this on their own and then you and your vet can make the best decisions for your dogs.
