30 years on from the original classic, the Sanderson Sisters, a wickedly entertaining trio of child-eating witches, returned to our screens in Disney’s Hocus Pocus 2.

To create the perfect spooky ambiance of a forbidden forest, Disney turned to some lighting science from Quasar Science Rainbow Tubes and Litepanels Gemini panels. Chief lighting technician Jay Yowler conjured up the magic hour mood on a soundstage inside an old armory in Providence RI. There’s even a moon on demand: Talk about movie magic!
