This year's Valentine's is especially special to me, as it allows me to reflect and appreciate those we cherish the most, from our loved ones and our families to our wonderful hotel teams around the world who are always in our hearts, despite all being separated.
Red Carnation Hotels is built on the beautiful foundations of a love story that has become our legacy. It is the love story of my parents that began almost 70 years ago at The Oyster Box Hotel, where they had their first date and they shared their hopes and dreams for the future, for a life filled with travel and to run some of the world's finest hotels – including, someday, The Oyster Box... The rest has become history.
For my family, it has been an incredible journey since that first meal together, and today, with 20 hotels around the world, including The Oyster Box, their lifelong love affair with adventure and heartfelt hospitality still inspires us all. In each of our hotels, we strive to capture the passion of their story and their dedication to offering the finest service possible, and we honour their symbol of love by each member of the team wearing a red carnation.
