American Red Cross Honor a hero
Dear Friend,

They’ve given so much. And this Veteran's Day, thousands of service men and women will be away from home. While we spend time with our friends and family during this joyous holiday season, consider giving back to the heroes who have already given so much of themselves.

Even a small gift from our 2013 Holiday Giving Catalog could go a long way to bring hope and cheer.
Honor a hero. Make a meaningful gift.

Here are just a few of the special gifts you can purchase to honor a hero today:
  • Military Comfort Kits ($50) that include a robe, shower shoes, toothpaste and other personal care items to help ease the stays of wounded warriors recovering in hospitals.
  • Connect a military family ($80) by helping deliver an emergency message to a service member away from home to make sure they can still connect with their loved ones in times of family crisis.
  • Caregiver training ($150) in order to provide family and friends the skills and support they need to care for injured heroes returning home.
I, personally, am grateful to be able to do something meaningful for our service men and women and their families. I hope you will give a gift in their honor today.

For our heroes,

Gail McGovern
President and CEO, American Red Cross

P.S. Our thoughts go out to all of those affected by Typhoon Haiyan. We are working with our counterparts at the Philippines Red Cross to assist with providing relief. For more information on the relief efforts, please visit
