American Red Cross - Donate before the New Year

Dear Friend,

When we watch the news or read the paper and see images of families and individuals facing the unimaginable, it's hard to look away.

But what if the family you see on TV, left homeless after an emergency, was you or a loved one?

Would you rest a little easier that night knowing that the kindness of your community would enable you to be warm and safe?

I know I would. And that's what it means to be a part of the Red Cross community. We give because we know that one day, that stranger on TV could be ourselves, or one of our loved ones.

In just a few hours, 2013 will draw to a close. Will you be there for us? Make an urgent donation now before the end of the year.
Deadline tonight: Give Now
Tonight, the majority of the country will be ringing in the New Year with friends and families, but inevitably, someone will face an emergency. A Red Cross First Aid class might save someone's life tonight or perhaps Red Cross Disaster Relief volunteers will respond to a tragic house fire. Like every other day of the year, the Red Cross will be there.

But we can't be there every day of the year without the support of our generous donors. You are one of the people that can make our around-the-clock, crucial work possible.

The clock is ticking. Make your 2013 tax-deductible donation NOW before time runs out!

Your support is crucial to our continued efforts to prevent and relieve suffering around the world. Thank you for being a part of the Red Cross.

Stay safe.
