Tips on how to holiday in 2020

Spread cheer, not germs. |

2020 has been a challenging year. But it's not too late to make eggnog out of rotten eggs (metaphorically, don't do it IRL that's gross) by making your holiday season extra memorable.

Here are a few tips on how to use your creativity to feel close to your loved ones even when you're not together.

Tip #1: Decorate Gingerbread Houses Together (on Video)

We've all been video chatting for months now, but let's face it: it can still feel a bit awkward. One way to make your calls more fun and natural is for each of you to set up a video chat in your kitchen around a gingerbread house making station. You can make (or buy) your gingerbread structures, get a ton of candy, and express yourselves through sugar. Don't forget to share your tasteful (and tasty) creations on social media so you can look back on them next year.

Tip #2: Share Creative Holiday Cards

Even if you're not usually huge on sending out holiday cards, this year it's worth the effort. You probably haven't gotten to see as much of your friends and families this year, and holiday cards are a great way to remind them they're still on your mind. Explore Redbubble's huge selection of unique holiday cards to find one that feels like you.

Tip #3: Play Holiday Jeopardy

For people who believe a little friendly (or bloodthirsty) competition is a great way to spread holiday cheer, here's a game of holiday Jeopardy. Choose a host to read the prompts and keep score, and players can ring a jingle bell when they have the answer (or the question I guess... it is Jeopardy). You can play this in a socially distanced setting with a group, or play it on video call.
