You'll learn to start and stop smoothly while balancing comfortably on a bike. How to Ride a Bike class is for adults and kids 12 and older.

Take your first backpack trip with the experts! Learn about what to bring, how to carry it, what and how to cook, how to manage water, navigation and camp skills, and much more in an intensive 2 day course. The load will be light and the trail easy, designed with beginners in mind.
In this class you'll learn to read map contour lines and translate them to the actual terrain. With your compass we'll teach you about magnetic north, true north and declination. Then we'll put it all together to pinpoint your location and plan your route.
Head out into the field for a day of hands-on GPS navigation training. You'll learn how to enter waypoints, use the tracklog on your GPS, and transfer information between the unit and your map. If you own a GPS unit, please bring it.
Our REI Outdoor School instructors take you into the field to teach you how to shoot vibrant and stimulating photographs. Photographers of all levels using film or digital cameras are encouraged to attend. Bring your camera and its owner's manual, as well as extra batteries and memory.
