Goodbye to Summer
Daze as Autumn Fun &
Night Tube Begins…

Hello everyone and welcome to this month’s mailer! We hope you’ve been enjoying the hot Summer heat as much as we have here at The Dead Dolls House! We’ve loved sipping on our delicious Summer cocktails, but September comes, and with it new food, new beers and a whole heap of exciting events to keep you entertained, gastronomically satisfied and a little bit tipsy. And don’t forget that late nights just got a lot easier, as we’re a five minute walk from Highbury & Islington station, with Night Tube Victoria line.

Party party party!

Come Dine With Us

On the 19th September we’re relaunching our restaurant with a brand new a la carte menu. Our smaller plates include roast pumpkin salad with prosciutto, gorgonzola & walnuts; lip-lickingly good tuna & avocado tartare; and crisp sprouting broccoli with chilli & garlic. If those aren’t making you hungry, our mains include some real big hitters: think succulent char-grilled beef burgers; fresh, poached, salmon with quinoa & freekah salad; crispy pork belly with pickled vegetables; and fried polenta with chorizo ragu.

Good News for the Ladies
- and Gents - who Brunch

From 11am Saturday and 12pm Sunday, the Dead Dolls House Islington offers its infamous bottomless brunch. For £15 per person our expert mixologists will whip up as many Bloody Marys or Mimosas as you want, served alongside our indulgent brunch menu, which is getting an update on the 24th September. The revised menu includes old favourites avocado on toast, sweet potato hash and pancakes (all served with fresh seasonal ingredients), with tempting, new, dishes such as ricotta fritters with roast pumpkin & prosciutto; beef brisket hash; and brûlée French toast with fruit & white chocolate ganache. Whether you have a craving for sweetness or want some savoury gluttony to satiate a hangover, our brunch menu covers all the bases.

Winter Private
Dining Menu Announced

For those of you looking to host a special event in the coming months, we’re very proud to announce our finger-tingling Winter private dining menu. For groups of 8 or more, we offer our luxuriant sharing-style feasts. The new menu features indulgent treats at every course, with starters including sloe gin-cured salmon, charred asparagus and honey-glazed ham hock. Our mains are smoked venison leg, baked hake with truffled artichoke puree, and kale, pomegranate and bulghar tabbouleh. To finish: white chocolate and pistachio crème brûlée. Yum.

We’re always waxing lyrical about luscious cocktails and fancy wines, but sometimes the best way to cool down and unwind with is with a crisp, refreshing, beer. So to make that easier, we’ve expanded our draft beer selection. So, as well as Heineken, Guinness and Theakstons IPA, guests of the Dead Dolls House Islington can now enjoy a full pint or a cheeky half of Birra Moretti, Amstel, Caledonian Coast to Coast (an American-style IPA), or California’s Lagunitas IPA, a beer described as “ruthlessly delicious”.

Aussie Wine Dinner

The Doll’s House LOVES Aussie wines! We’ve partnered with Australia’s oldest family owned winery to put together a unique wine dinner, showcasing some of the best wines Australia has to offer. Some you may know, some are brand new to the UK and ALL are delicious! Our head chef Danielle Napier has worked closely with Chris Rowe from Yalumba to create dishes matched to the wines that will show how good pairing can elevate both the food and the wine to another level! Come and hear the stories behind the wines and the science behind the pairings, and relax into a gastronomic experience with old and new friends… Buy tickets here.

Every Thursday

Karaoke Rumble is a karaoke night with a difference. A regular Time Out recommendation, this popular event is shifting its last Thursday of the month location to the Dead Dolls House Islington. Karaoke Rumble is hosted by self-described “showbiz legend” Quint Fontana (in reality an acclaimed character comedian, but shhhhh don’t tell anyone) who has warned us he’ll be bringing mayhem, audience participation and abuse (the latter – I hope – verbal). The aim of the open karaoke competition is to sing for 2 minutes without getting booed by the rest of the audience or the host. Chaos is promised, hilarity is guaranteed, entry is free. For more details check out Fontana on Twitter.

Last Friday every month

On the last Friday of every month, Dead Dolls House Islington will be hosting Loose Moves, a new, dancer-friendly clubnight promising a pumping dancefloor from 10pm through until 4am. With renowned London DJs Optimus Funk and TBX on the decks, Loose Moves will keep your and your cohorts moving and grooving until the night tube takes you home. For more details check out the event page or have a pre-listen to the DJs on Mixcloud/TBX or Mixcloud/optimusfunk. Bring your dancing shoes!
