Meltdown Comics and Comedienne Katy Franco RAISE Awareness To Fight Breast Cancer
If you are near Los Angeles on Saturday, Oct. 20th, bring your kids to Meltdown Comics, meet the Cause Comedienne Katy Franco, and buy a copy of CHEMORELLA to benefit Save the Ta-Tas Foundation.
Katy is a breast cancer survivor turned breast cancer activist. She uses standup comedy, laughter therapy, and her wonderful book CHEMORELLA to help people deal with cancer.
Written by Katy and her husband, Ken Phillips, CHEMORELLA is a great gift for somebody who is fighting breast cancer, or who has a family member who has been afflicted by it. It's for adults because of the edgy wit, and kids because of the cool, bald heroine and the every-other-page illustrations.
Remember, kids suffer the most when a parent is going through cancer treatment, because the young ones wonder whether mom or dad is going to die. This honest and uplifting book is a message of hope. So it's the perfect present during Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
Katy and Ken are going to give Save the Ta-Tas Foundation 20% of the book sales at this event.
