The House of Scalamandré - More Than You Imagined!
The Bicentenary Collection from Christian Fischbacher

In celebration of the company’s long history and excellence, Christian Fischbacher created The Bicentenary Collection. Ornate designs that symbolize magic and opulence are brought together and celebrated, with references to the countless textile innovations achieved over the years by the famous Swiss Textile house. Made from the finest materials using a wide range of both traditional and innovative manufacturing techniques, these designs are gleaming in gold, silver, and metallic shades, adding wondrous luster to interiors.

Interaction

INTERACTION

Quite appropriately named, Interaction features two various woven metallic threads that are incorporated in such a way that when you turn the fabric 180 degrees, its color changes. Finished using a hand guided, genuine moiré technique, this fabric creates visual intrigue and presence with its unique traits.

Jubilee

JUBILEE

Approximately 150 stitched-on sequins in three different shapes and colors adorn this pure silk fabric. Paying homage to Christian Fischbacher’s 200th birthday, Jubilee is fun, fashionable, and quite simply, joyful!

Linares

LINARES

Reminiscent of a river bed or waves in the sand, Linares consists of a special shrink yarn that was used to create it’s raised pattern. The interplay of the different materials ties in with the design itself as the dry, matte linen forms stunning contrasted lines compared to the subtle sheen of the silk.

Season

SEASON

Decorated with a classic pattern of intricate leafy branches, the edges of this motif merge into the background using a sophisticated weaving technique which replicates the effect of spray dyeing. A combination of polyester and viscose creates an attractive interplay of matte and shiny surfaces available in five elegant colorways.

Tangram

TANGRAM

The Tangram jacquard motif is made using a lustrous viscose warp thread and a matte linen weft. Like the elements of a tangram, an ancient Chinese puzzle, the design consists of geometric shapes that are combined to create larger shapes. This interplay creates a modern, abstract, playful all-over pattern.

Speedway

SPEEDWAY

This swift motif features a horizontal stripe that stands out from the transparent background, thanks to a small stripe woven in color-contrasting yarn. A charming crêpe effect, creates a vertical contrast to the motif’s horizontal stripe and is offered in four neutral colors.

Super Star

SUPER STAR

A burnout motif with intricate embroidered details along the border, Super Star certainly lives up to its name. The geometric border is paired with a classic damask pattern, creating an unexpected, yet harmonious design. A truly opulent look, Super Star adds elegance and modern sophistication to the room, and is offered in three colorways.

Luna II

LUNA II

Luna II is a hard-wearing linen/nylon blend which can be used as a curtain fabric or for upholstery. Reversible, one side features a dynamic structure with fine shimmer, while the other has an elegant, matte appearance. Revised for The Bicentenary Collection, six fashionable colorways have been added to this design.
