It’s Christmas week, so we’ve got a special festive edition of Landlord’s Voice!

We bring you the results of our snap Christmas poll, which found a 50/50 split between the Fa-la-la-la landlords marking Christmas with their tenants - and Bah-humbug business-folk carrying on as though ‘tis the season to, well, just get on with things.

Plus if all you want for Christmas is higher yields in 2019, we’ve got a special guest blog about how you could extend down in order to put rents up – with top advice on basement conversions.

Finally, you can check out our official Guide to Christmas – and indeed all our winter guides -for a bit of light holiday reading, and get the all the latest sector news – including a rise in subsidence, Brexit, and a couple of cockle-warmers about landlords letting to the homeless.
