In 2007 Jerry Seinfeld, the famous New York comedian, inadvertently became a guru of getting things done.
Aspiring comedian Brad Isaac asked Jerry's advice on how to become great. The answer is now known as the Seinfeld method of productivity. Here's how it works: First, you pick a fun activity you can do every day. To stay motivated, Seinfeld marked the calendar for every day he did the activity. “After a few days you’ll have a chain. Just keep at it and the chain will grow longer every day. You’ll like seeing that chain, especially when you get a few weeks under your belt. Your only job next is to not break the chain,” said Brad Isaac. You have to do the activity each day. For example, it’s fine to read a book about watercolor painting techniques, but if you don’t actually pick up a brush and start painting, you will never improve your painting skills. It’s the same with Spanish. Instead of beating your head in over confusing textbooks, you can speak Spanish every day. Start your chain with these three FREE 10-minute Spanish video lessons and you'll already be making solid progress in just a few days.
Tomorrow, I'll tell you a little twist I added to Jerry's method that makes it even better. It's more fun, more doable and more motivating… especially if you get distracted easily like me. In the meantime get started on these three Spanish steps.
