I recently went to Mexico with some friends. We took the Copper Canyon Train Tour from Chihuahua to El Fuerte and back.

The countryside was beautiful, the canyon breathtaking, the food excellent, and the people simply wonderful all along the way.

I found myself speaking the language. I was so excited I was almost beside myself, and to top it all off on more than one occasion Spanish speakers remarked on my excellent pronunciation as well as my spoken Spanish in general.
