In anticipation of World Cancer Day, Techné is auctioning a brand new Tärnan Oceanographer with serial number 001.
Inspired by early diving watches of the 1950's, the 2011 Tärnan Oceanographer was manufactured in limited quantities and sold out by 2012. We are auctioning a brand new, unused model marked with the serial number 001. All proceedings will be donated to the Starlight Children's Foundation.
With a diameter of 42.0 millimeter and a thickness of 14.4, the Oceanographer is more impressive in person than on paper.
Fine-tuned by hand, this automatic watch has been assembled in Switzerland with a Swiss ETA 2824-2 movement. It is built to withstant pressures of 30 bar (corresponding to a static depth of 300 meter / 1000 feet). With a black dial with golden printing, gilt hands and a domed sapphire crystal, this watch is sold on a fully brushed stainless steel bracelet with a diving folding clasp.
A video of the watch is available on our Facebook account at https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=712733348744529&l=8326380345070952259.
