Happy Friday!

Hopefully you had a very productive week & you’re looking forward to having some fun this weekend.

And I know a lot of us out there are gearing up for Spring Break too.

Plus the weather is finally starting to warm up & the sun is shining again.

Things are looking on the up! Haha

One of the big questions I’ll get is if eating too much protein is bad for you.

I'll even overhear people say don't eat protein because it's "hard on your kidneys."

No way Jose!

There is zero scientific evidence that eating a lot of protein is ever hard on your kidneys.

Just the opposite.

Crazy enough most people aren’t getting enough protein in their die-ts & it’s really showing.

You’ll not only burn off more fat with a higher protein die-t but you’ll also sleep better too.

A new study by the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found a high protein diet improved sleep in overweight & obese individuals.

Those in the study eating higher protein were getting 1.5 g/kg per day.

Now that might not sound like a big number but it’s bigger than you think.

Let’s say someone weighs 200 pounds so if I do the math that means they need at least 136g of protein per day.

And this makes things hard when the average American eats only about 100g of protein each day.

If you're working out then you should be getting even more than that.
