National Jukebox Day marks the anniversary of the first ever jukebox displayed at the Palais Royale Saloon in San Francisco, California, on 23rd November 1889 by Louis Glass and William S. Arnold, Managers of the Pacific Phonograph Co.

Called a nickel-in-the-slot phonograph at the time, this revolutionary machine would influence cultural history around the world and change the course of how we listened to music forever.
