As backyard gardens and farmers markets blush with heirloom tomatoes, we are gathering our most delicious ways to prepare them. Here you can discover four of our favorite spices and recipes to enjoy summer's fleeting tomato moments.

Classic Tomato Sauce

Our Italian Herb Blend of oregano, thyme, basil, marjoram, and rosemary creates the perfect accent for a simmering pot of tomato sauce.

Italian Herb Blend
De re coquinaria was one of the earliest cookbooks written, in the first century AD. Its Roman authors noted that recipes should use a heavy blend of Italian spices. To our mind, they surely meant this balanced mix of oregano, thyme, basil, marjoram and rosemary.
Tuscan Olive Oil Seasoning
Tuscany is famed for its beauty, its wine, its beef, and its olive oil. We created Tuscan olive oil seasoning to add zing to bread-dipping oil. We soon realized it's also great on croutons, mixed in with breadcrumbs for a casserole topping, or as a flavoring for mac and cheese.

Mexican Oregano
Unlike its Greek cousin, Mexican Oregano is related to verbena. It is earthier and more pungent in flavor and scent. This variety of oregano holds up well in spicy dishes and is used liberally in the cuisines of Mexico and the American Southwest.
Tuscan Olive Oil Seasoning
Dill blossoms resemble little, yellow fireworks and their flavor is just as brilliant. A tiny pinch of this chartreuse-colored pollen adds familiar notes of citrus, menthol, and licorice to any culinary creation. We love it sprinkled over all the tomato recipes.

Whipped Ricotta & Crostini

An extra dusting of dill pollen adds a minty, herbal sweetness to the marinated tomatoes atop the whipped ricotta.
