The Confident Stitch is a gathering spot for anyone who delights in the fine details, and major triumphs, of modern handcrafts.
Scrap Happy
Elizabeth has done it again!

A marvelously scrappy patchwork of her own design, this gorgeous quilt features two of our favorites: the Shot Cotton in Paprika and the Shot Cotton in Wine!

An ideal blender, these rich & interesting Shot Cottons put plain, solid quilting cottons to shame!

As you can imagine, they look particularly good next to other Kaffe Fassett fabrics and our gorgeous Aboriginal prints!
Corduroy, Oh Joy!
When it comes to the Kendor 16-Wale Stretch Corduroy we've got two words for you - swoon worthy!

Wonderfully soft and vibrant, this mid-weight corduroy features 20% crosswise stretch which makes it just perfect for pants and skirts!

We can't wait to see an Alberta Street Pencil Skirt, a pair of Sasha Trousers, or the Mila Dungarees sewn up in this first-class fabric!
An Impressive Apparatus
A good iron is to a sewist like sunscreen is to a redhead - absolutely necessary if you don't want to get burned!

Panasonic 's Cordless Freestyle Irons have a high-quality ceramic coated soleplate, with a non-stick surface, which effectively distributes heat and glides smoothly over fabrics.

This iron also features a detachable water tank for easy-filling, and the steaming function is downright dreamy.

And the pièce de résistance? This iron shuts off automatically if left idle for longer than 10 minutes, so you'll never again wonder if you left the iron on by mistake!
Let's get the band back together!
Sewing a ribbed neckband can sometimes be a literal pain in the neck!
There's too much math involved, and still the band always seems to pucker or gape...

Well not anymore!

Kate has a foolproof technique that makes the process downright delightful!

Read her blog post then use your new knowledge to make the Jeanne PJs or a cozy M&M Fielder Dress!

Kate made her Fielder using our luxurious Seawool Melton and some precut ribbing, and the results are très magnifique!
