Tucked away just south of Cabramurra, along the Tooma Road, Bradleys and O'Brien's Hut is a timeless reminder of the rich pastoral heritage of the Snowy Mountains. Originally built between 1952 and 1953 by Jack Bailey, a builder from Tumbarumba, this iconic hut has a storied past intertwined with summer grazing and the rugged mountain life.

A Fishing Update from our Guides

It's been an awesome start to the 24/25 trout season here in Tumut! We started off the season with our Learn to Fly Fish Day in conjunction with Snowy Mountains Trout. Everyone had an excellent day, learning how to cast, tie knots, select flies, read water and catch fish.

Our guides have been been busy drifting the Tumut River and the season has been consistently building. The fish have been nymphing throughout the day and as the weather starts to warm we're looking forward to the dry fly fishing picking up too!

The water level on the Tumut has been high so if you are coming up for a fish yourself make sure you get kitted out with the right nymphs and chat to our staff about rigging as there's a narrow margin between a great day and a slow one.
