Greetings TREW Crew,

We just dropped our new PRIMO collection.

Many of you have asked us, what makes our PRIMO line so, well,  primo?  In short: PRIMO is our most sustainable, most durable, most comfortable, and most versatile collection. How did we really manage to check all of those boxes? Well, allow me to explain…

Sustainable: our PRIMO fabric is sourced from 100% recycled nylon materials. The material stream is 100% traceable and certified by the Global Recycle Standard. It is a pre-consumer, post-industrial material that has high integrity and makes for excellent fabric. The fabric mill in Japan is also Bluesign certified. All of the plastic components (like cord locks and zipper pulls) on PRIMO styles are also sourced with 100% recycled materials.

Durable: the PRIMO shell fabrics are robust and are built to withstand significant abrasion and cut. New this season is our cuff-protection fabric, TECHSTEEL. TECHSTEEL is woven in Sweden and features an incredibly high-tenacity yarn called Vectran. I know, I know, these names are something else. Just know that the textile engineers are devoting their time to building resilient fabrics and not catchy marketing names. Bottom line: this is the most durable cuff that we’ve ever had. It achieves a high level of abrasion and cut resistance while being much more flexible and supple than our previous cuff-protection.

Comfortable: the PRIMO shell fabrics have the perfect amount of mechanical stretch to move with your body and not feel stiff and boardy like a lot of hardshells. It’s rugged, nonporous, polyurethane membrane is 100% windproof and waterproof up to 20kmm, providing a comfortable shelter from the worst winter weather.

Versatile: There has been this tendency in the snowsports world to design products for either the backcountry or the resort. We get it. We’re all about tailoring designs for the end-use. Square hole, round peg, and all that. But, if you’re anything like us, we’re just as likely to slide up a skin track as we are to lap the chairs at our local hill. Heck, some months, we can only manage to fit in a few night skiing laps, and, others, we’re touring every week. Balancing life and chasing pow is challenging, but grabbing the right gear shouldn’t be. Our PRIMO Collection is 100% ready for any mountain adventure.

Stay TREW,
Chris
