SEO comes in two different forms: “white hat” SEO and “black hat” SEO. Basically, white hat SEO is playing the game fairly & naturally. Black hat SEO is cheating. Actions that are taken not for the benefit of the searching public, but to specifically rank high in search engines. Google can spot black hat SEO fast. It’s a sure way to get yourself on the bottom of the page. If you have a bunch of domain names that lead to the same place, Google might think you’re wearing a black hat.
Link to the Wrong Sites
Links are important in SEO. The links you have on your website and the links that lead to your website matter. If you put any outbound links on your site, make sure that they’re good ones. Don’t link to any spammy or irrelevant sites. Remember that Google wants to serve its users with the most relevant content. If you have bad links, you’re providing bad content, which means that you’ll never reach the top. Remember: Google covets content that is of value to the end user/active seeker.
