All of your hardwork and candle lit prayers have led us to this, a first round bye and homefield advantage in the playoffs. The San Francisco Heritage Preservation Society is pleased to present the Upper Playground x Botanica YorubaCandlestick Park Prayer Candle. The candle commemorates one of the oldest and most notorious stadiums in NFL history and the home to 5 Super Bowl rings and counting. As the 49ers partake in the NFC playoffs and celebrate their second to last playoff run at said hallowed ground, this candle will prove momentous in their charge to ultimate victory.
2013 marks the last season at Candlestick park, and the Prayer Candle will be the ritualistic celebration of a field of champions.
The candle includes a special prayer on the back in English/ Spanish courtesy of Botanica Yoruba, the oldest most historic botanica in town.
Botanica Yoruba is located at 3423 19th Street in San Franciscos Mission District.
One champion to another (hopeful) champion. Why did #11 sport an SF Giants orange and black fitted when he could have been dressed in the SF Giants “Niners Colorway” snapback during every press conference? Now we can pass the torch of excellency to #7 and have him carry the Niners to January glory. And let’s have him wear the SF Giants “Niners Colorway” snapback this time.
