Remote Island of Atauro Makes Safe, Resilient Drinking Water from Sunlight & Air

Faced with fresh water scarcity, a remote location, harsh landscape, and poverty, the island of Atauro presented several obstacles to finding a sustainable, resilient drinking water solution. Conservation International, in partnership with the Atauro community and Zero Mass Water, installed 80 SOURCE Hydropanels across two villages on the island to provide a reliable supply of clean, safe drinking water completely free of infrastructure and made from only sunlight and air.

West Virginia Food Bank Provides Residents of McDowell County Clean Drinking Water

Many communities in McDowell County, West Virginia, have extremely limited access to clean drinking water, with several towns in the area having been under boil water advisories over 5 years. This lack of clean, reliable drinking water has resulted in bottled water being one of Five Loaves and Two Fishes most commonly requested items. In partnership with Dig Deep, Zero Mass Water, and the one2one USA Foundation, Five Loaves and Two Fishes installed SOURCE Hydropanels at their food bank, providing residents of McDowell County safe drinking water at their regular distributions.
