So many different inspirations go into 9FIVE that it can be hard to define, even for ourselves. At its core though, it’s a collection of our affinities for skateboarding, music, and the endless subculture that spawns from it all. Over the last 10 years, we have paired our brand with everything that felt right, yet stayed true to the original vision, whether it was by collaborating with our favorite brands, hosting community events, working with artists/ athletes or expanding our physical retail presence. Our newest project however, perfectly represents what 9FIVE was, is, and still aspires to be.
Introducing Art-Rec (pronounced Arts and Rec), the culmination of everything aforementioned. Centrally located on Logan Avenue in San Diego, in the hub of the Barrio Logan community, A-R is our cumulative dream skate shop/ boutique, offering only top tier, hand selected brands that have inspired our own, including Stussy, Nike SB, Nike Sportswear, Born X Raised, Vans, Welcome, Quasi and of course, 9FIVE.
