In my most recent story, “Steal My Eyes,” I spoke to 30 folks with exceptional taste about their favorite eye looks. Makeup — especially eye makeup — is as personal as jewelry or clothes, so I wanted to hear from a wide range of people of different ages, backgrounds, and aesthetic preferences. I think the story captures just that, plus some very helpful tips and convincing product recommendations. Some of the most memorable ones are Dr. Shereene Idriss’s mascara combo that patients ask her about, a ballerina’s performance-proof mascara, a DJ’s trick to preventing “post-club under-eye runoff,” and a lash and brow artist’s go-to for faking realistic-looking brows.
