“No one sits in the same way all the time,” designer Tobia Scarpa tells GUBI CEO Marie Kristine Schmidt. Alongside his wife Afra, he designed the Elogio Sofa in 1974 to break the rigid living room. “We wanted to introduce a system that could evolve alongside life in the home.” Elogio responds accordingly: Cushions stack, elongate, or drape however the moment demands.
