A windowless car repair shop. Bright white fluorescent lights. From beneath a hulking 1980s sedan emerges a young mechanic, her overalls streaked with grease. Outside, daylight. Transformed in dark leather and sunglasses, she drives through Paris while fleeting encounters and small mysteries accompany her journey to meet Kim.


β€œAvec Kim” celebrates and challenges female character tropes, such as sources of female strength, the playful power of female friendships, and clothing’s ability to remake character.
