Summer greetings Action Eventers,

Team Action riders have just arrived back from the hottest ever Action London to Paris bike ride, which also saw us celebrating our 20th anniversary of running the event. More than 70 riders battled through the scorching heat where temperatures reached their hottest levels ever recorded across the UK and Europe, and boy oh boy, what a trip they had! The beaming smiles on the faces of each and every rider as they held their bikes aloft in front of the Eiffel Tower said it all.

On another glorious hot and sunny day teams of 4 raced across the Isle of Wight in the saddle, on foot and by paddle in the second of our Race the Sun series. The 2018 winners returned and retained their title, shaving off a few minutes to boot!

Looking ahead to this weekend we have riders taking part in the annual closed road Prudential RideLondon, a firm fixture in the calendar of every cyclist. The weather is set to be fair so from all of us here at Action, we wish all of our riders the very best of luck for a great day in the saddle, we look forward to seeing you at our cheer station in Dorking, Surrey.

LAST TO CHANCE RACE THE SUN

It's not too late to sign up for our last Race the Sun event of the year, our premiere event in the Lake District. In teams of four you'll pedal 50 miles, climb England's second highest mountain and then paddle a 3km canoe course in a day to remember.

Action once again have places in the sold out half marathon, London Landmarks on Sunday 29 March 2020. Join 14,000 runners on this spectacular closed road run as you weave your way through the capital ticking off many of the world's most famous landmarks from Buckingham Palace, Nelson's Column, St Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London and Big Ben. No other run is quite like it.

TURNING UP THE HEAT ON LONDON TO PARIS

With the mercury reaching a blistering 42.6 degrees Celsius (more when you take into account the heat reflecting off of the tarmac) it's fair to say that the 2019 edition of Action's London to Paris, our 20th anniversary ride, was the hottest on record! More than 70 Team Action riders took on this epic challenge, check out the gallery to see just how much fun they had.
