We're delighted to announce that Race the Sun is now open for registrations.

Race the Sun is a fantastic multi-discipline triple challenge which pits teams of four against each other, and the setting sun!

Starting at dawn your team will cycle, hike and paddle your way around a course in the breath-taking National Parks of the Brecon Beacons or the Lake District.

With various awards from fastest team, fastest mixed team and fastest Golden Oldies (combined age of over 200) as well as best team name and best team spirit, there are plenty of opportunities to pick up a prize and keep going all the way to the very end!

Choose between:

RACE THE SUN BRECON BEACONS, 13 JUNE

RACE THE SUN LAKE DISTRICT, 5 SEPTEMBER

WHAT TO EXPECT...

In a word... pain! Good pain though. The sort of pain which leaves you knowing that you have achieved something very special!

Each route is unique to the beautiful and challenging locations.

CYCLE

Expect cycling in the Brecon Beacons to be a total of around 88km, whilst in the Lake District you'll cover 65km on the bike. Cycling sections for both events will be on road, so a road bike would be most suitable, but not essential.

HIKE

Tackle the peaks of Pen y Fan and Skiddaw

Summit the mightiest peaks in each location as circular walks take you up and down the punishing Pen y Fan (10km) in Wales and the imposing Skiddaw (17km) in the Lakes.

PADDLE

Each event takes in a canoeing section, with routes of roughly 2km in distance, but don't worry, previous experience is not necessary, and we'll provide the equipment.
