In 2019, teams will work every muscle in their body as they race the sun (and other teams) to conquer the UK's largest natural monument in aid of sick children and babies. Kicking off from the Digeddi Wildlife Campsite near Glasbury, rise at the crack of dawn for a three-activity team challenge as you start your day with a stunning 34km cycle along the Gospel Pass, which, at 551 metres above sea level, is Wales' highest road. Swap bikes for boots in Pandy and trek 30km along the Haterall Ridge of the Black Mountains, enjoying breath-taking vistas of the surrounding peaks and the Wye Valley, until you reach Glasbury. From here it's a 3.4km canoe down the wonderful River Wye, paddling all the way back to our base – and finish line – at the Digeddi Wildlife Campsite! Still in teams of four (although it can be tackled solo), starting at midnight you'll trek a 40 mile stretch (23 miles on the Trek Lite) of the beautiful Cotswolds Way from Dursley near Stroud to Cleeve Hill, just north of Cheltenham. It's not just about speed, stamina across the whole team plays a big part too, 40 miles on foot is a long way, and not to be underestimated! We'll replenish you with breakfast at sunrise and fill you up with a BBQ at the finish. Sign up before 31 December for £99 per team (£38 for solo walkers) plus fundraising.
