Action Medical Research is a UK-wide charity saving and changing children’s lives through medical research. For over 70 years we've helped pioneer ways to prevent disease and develop treatments benefiting millions of people.
Our research has helped to beat polio in the UK, develop ultrasound scanning in pregnancy, fight meningitis and prevent stillbirths. But there’s more to do and we urgently need your support.
We’ve been running our Race the Sun events for two decades, and in that time thousands of adventurers have cycled, hiked, and paddled across the UK’s most stunning landscapes.
Each route is carefully planned, with safety briefings, expert support, and a team of marshals, medics, and mechanics by your side.
