You’ll have plenty of sale emails hitting your inboxes this week, but we wanted to share something a little different. This period of time between Christmas and the new year is always a time of reflection for us, and a time for excitement of what the new year will bring. 2018 has been a huge year for Active Truth. It was the year we moved off our kitchen benches and into an office. We hired our first staff members. We continued to grow both as a business and as business owners. Active Truth wasn’t started with investors, loans or even a business plan. We had no experience in business or manufacturing. We just knew that women deserved better from the activewear market. We took our passion for healthy living, supporting women and quality products and threw ourselves into creating the brand we wanted to see in the market. With this in mind we were both incredibly proud and humbled to win not one but two business awards this year – Telstra Business Award QLD Emerging and Energised and Lord Mayor’s Business Award for Outstanding Small Business. We are focused on being a sustainable business that will continue to grow and evolve with our customers. Active Truth now supports five women and their families along with countless suppliers and contractors. All beautiful people who share our vision for the brand and the impact it can make. We can’t create the change we want to see without solid business foundations and the best people to drive it. We especially want to thank you, our customers and community, for your ongoing support. We don’t just sell tights (...although they are pretty amazing!). We are pushing to change the conversation around health, body image and inclusivity and empower women to be active on their terms. The truth is we are still learning every single day. Sometimes there’s tears, but mainly there’s laughs. Your positive reviews, constructive feedback and orders keep us going and growing. By the time you read this we will both be on holidays with our families, fully disconnecting (right?!) and spending quality time with our loved ones. We are so excited to return in the new year rejuvenated and ready for the next chapter of Active Truth’s journey. We have beautiful exclusive prints, new product ranges and exciting collaborations in store for you in 2019, but if there’s something specific you’d love to see us release next year just reply to this email and let us know.
