Amazon launches weekly relief flights after Venezuela quakes

Amazon is launching seven weekly relief flights to Caracas, Venezuela, delivering critical supplies to nonprofits serving communities devastated by the June 24 earthquakes. More than 650,000 people need aid, and this humanitarian air bridge marks the first time Amazon will provide this service. The weekly flights are possible through a collaboration between Amazon, Airlink, the U.S. State Department, and United Nations World Food Programme, with Amazon donating the aircraft and fuel at no cost to humanitarian organizations.

The air bridge is one part of a broad Amazon effort for Venezuela earthquake relief, which includes ongoing support to more than a dozen nonprofits supporting communities on the ground, volunteering events led by Amazon team members in multiple cities, and the donation and delivery of over half a million emergency supplies within days of the earthquakes.

Amazon MGM Studios and Prime Video received 68 Emmy nominations across 16 titles in 2026.  "Spider-Noir", the live-action series based on the Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir that stars Nicolas Cage, leads with 11 nominations across categories including Outstanding Production Design, Cinematography, and Special Visual Effects. Fallout, based on one of the greatest video game series of all time, picked up 10 nominations, while The Boys and documentary John Candy: I Like Me both earned five nods, with the latter being nominated for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Special. Amazon is investing $2M with the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation to restore 16,000 acres of forest in Georgia's Upper Ocmulgee watershed. The project is expected to replenish 370 million gallons of water annually through 2035, supporting Amazon's goal to be water positive by 2030.
