Amazon's Prime Air drone delivery is now live in Darlington, England—the first time the service has expanded outside the U.S. Customers within a 7.5-mile radius of the Darlington fulfillment center who have a garden, yard, or driveway can have millions of eligible items delivered in 60 minutes or less.
During checkout, customers simply select a delivery zone from a satellite map of their property. From there, the MK30 drone flies autonomously at speeds of up to 70mph, drops the package from a safe height, and returns to the fulfillment center. Prime Air is included with an Amazon Prime membership at no additional delivery fee.
