Memorial Day isn't a day off.
It's a day to remember the people who paid the price for ours.
I think about sacrifice differently than most people. I've been in rooms with fighters, soldiers, people who gave everything they had for something bigger than themselves. And the one thing they all had in common, the ones who really lived it, was that they never thought about quitting. Not because they weren't tired. Not because it wasn't hard. Because the thing they were fighting for was bigger than how they felt on any given day.
That's the standard.
Most of us will never face what they faced. But we can carry that mentality into the way we live, the way we train, the way we show up for the people around us.
Today I'm asking you to do two things. First, take a moment and actually remember, not just enjoy the day off. Second, show up for yourself the same way they showed up for all of us. With everything you have.
No more excuses. No more waiting. The people we remember today didn't have that option.
