Casein Custard is FINALLY here!

Amino Z Casein Custard didn't knock. It kicked the front door off its hinges and made itself right at home.

We've had a casein protein in the range for a while, but we're phasing it out. Not because we don't love casein. In fact, it’s quite the opposite.

We reckon it's one of the best protein sources out there. It's naturally slower digesting, keeps you fuller for longer, and is incredibly versatile. The only ‘meh’ thing about it is that it can be pretty average as a shake because the texture and inherent flavour resembles gritty cardboard infused milk (as our product developer refers to it as).

So instead of fighting it, we leaned into what it does best.

Casein Custard is a thick, creamy dessert-style protein that can still be enjoyed as a shake, but really shines as a custard, pudding, or in recipes.

Each serve packs 22–23g of protein (depending on the flavour) for under 140 calories. We also added lactase, a digestive enzyme that helps break down lactose, for those who aren't exactly best friends with dairy products, lol.

As for the flavours…

• Vanilla Custard tastes exactly like the real thing. If you try it and tell us it doesn't, we'll politely accuse you of telling fibbs.
• Chocolate Pudding will take you straight back to those little chocolate custard tubs that somehow only appeared in your lunchbox on very special occasions (usually when they were on special - thanks mum!)
• Crema Al Caffè which is our slightly sophisticated Italian coffee flavour for those who sip their coffee with their pinky finger pointed towards the sky.

We genuinely had a lot of fun creating this range, and we think it turned out pretty special.
